DAMASCUS, June 14 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation forces carried out on Sunday a new military incursion into the countryside of Quneitra in southern Syria, accompanied by a deployment of troops and the establishment of a temporary checkpoint as part of ongoing activity near the border areas.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, an Israeli force consisting of around 30 military vehicles entered the village of Umm Batinah in central Quneitra, where it set up a checkpoint along the road connecting the village to the town of Jaba. No arrests were reported during the operation.
The Observatory said the occupation forces questioned a local civilian and inspected a deserted military site near the village before withdrawing.
The incursion follows a separate incident a day earlier in the Yarmouk Basin area of Daraa province, where an Israeli patrol reportedly entered Syrian territory and opened fire toward nearby agricultural land, with no casualties reported.
The developments come amid continued military activity along southern Syria’s border regions.
