Araghchi reveals Chinese proposal to promote peace, stability in region

TEHRAN, May 06 (YPA) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced on Wednesday a four-point Chinese proposal aimed at enhancing peace and stability in the region.

In a statement published on his Telegram account, Araghchi said the proposal calls on China to help shape a new post-war framework that balances development and security considerations.

He emphasized that Iran places confidence in China’s role and expressed hope that Beijing will continue its active efforts to promote peace and help end regional conflicts.

Araghchi also revealed that he held what he described as a “fruitful” meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi, during which both sides reaffirmed Iran’s right to sovereignty and national dignity.

The Iranian foreign minister is currently in Beijing as part of intensified diplomatic efforts to clarify Tehran’s position regarding the US and Israeli aggression against Iran.
