2 Palestinians injured in settlers attack in Nablus, olive trees uprooted in Bethlehem

RAMALLAH, Sept. 27 (YPA) – Two Palestinian citizens were injured on Sunday evening after being severely beaten by settlers in the village of Burqa, northwest of Nablus. Meanwhile, other settlers uprooted a number of olive trees in the Khala’il al-Luz area, southeast of Bethlehem.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Tulkarm told WAFA News Agency that its crews treated two people for bruises and contusions, one a 66-year-old man and the other a 31-year-old man, after they were attacked by settlers while on the main road in the village of Burqa.

The Society added that the injured were transferred to Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarm, and that their condition is stable.

In a related incident in Bethlehem, security sources reported that settlers uprooted olive trees in the Khala’il al-Luz area, belonging to citizens Amin Mels and Mushrif al-Salahat.

Sources indicated that settler attacks have escalated in the Khala’il al-Luz area, including attacks on homes, land bulldozing, and shooting at residents.
