Earthquake measuring 2.8 on Richter scale hits Marib

DHAMAR, May 06 (YPA) – The Seismological and Volcanological Observatory Center in Dhamar Governorate recorded a light earthquake southeast of Marib Governorate.

The head of the center, Engineer Mohammed Hussein Mutahhar Al-Houthi, confirmed that the monitoring stations recorded the tremor at 1:34 pm yesterday, Tuesday.

He explained that the earthquake’s seismic force reached 2.8 on the Richter scale, noting that its epicenter was located in the area southeast of Marib.
