Islamic resistance in Lebanon targets Israeli command center

BEIRUT, May 06 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon announced on Wednesday that it had carried out two operations targeting Israeli occupation’s military sites in southern Lebanon, including a command center and a military vehicle.

In separate statements, the group said the strikes were conducted in defense of Lebanon and its people, and in response to the ongoing Israeli ceasefire violations and attacks on southern villages that have resulted in civilian casualties. The operations were also framed within what it calls the “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle.

According to statement No. (4), at 09:00 a.m. on May 6, 2026, resistance fighters targeted an advanced Israeli occupation army command center in the town of Al-Qantara using guided munitions, reporting a direct hit.

In statement No. (5), the group said that at 09:30 a.m. the same day, its fighters struck an Israeli military Hummer vehicle in the town of Deir Siryan, also claiming a confirmed hit.

The Islamic Resistance affirmed that its operations would continue as long as the Israeli violations persist, including attacks on Lebanese sovereignty and the targeting of civilians.
