SANAA, March 28 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted heavy to moderate thunderstorms across several Yemeni provinces within the next 24 hours, including Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, Abyan, Bayda, Lahj, Dhalea, Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Rayma, as well as the Southern and Eastern coasts.
In its weather bulletin issued this Saturday, the Center also noted the possibility of scattered thundershowers over parts of Saada, Sanaa, Amran, Mahweet, and Hajjah.
The center has warned citizens against entering or crossing valleys and flood-prone areas during and after rainfall due to the risk of sudden flash floods.
Residents are advised to stay away from power poles and tall trees to avoid lightning strikes.
Drivers are cautioned regarding reduced horizontal visibility, potential rockslides, and mudslides on mountain passes and slopes caused by heavy rain, low clouds, or dense fog.
