Senior Sanaa official Advocates opening unexpected front against US depth

SANAA, Jan. 30 (YPA) – A member of Ansarallah’s Political Bureau in Sanaa, Hizm al‑Assad, on Friday urged “Iran will take the confrontation directly into the United States if Tehran comes under any military attack by Washington.”

In a post on the X platform, Assad said Iran had full legitimacy, under the logic of deterrence and the right to self‑defense, to move the battle into the US mainland should Washington initiate aggression.

He stressed that the Israeli entity, US military bases and interests, as well as American naval vessels, should be considered targets in any open confrontation.

“As long as the American interior remains secure, Trump‑style bullying against nations and peoples will continue,” Al-Assad said, arguing that threatening US security is the only effective means of deterring Washington’s hostile policies.

He also pointed to what he described as a strategic opportunity for Caribbean states, particularly Cuba, to align with Iran in a single front against their “common enemy,” citing their geographic proximity to the United States as a potential factor.
