Gaza death toll mounts up to71,269 amid escalating Israeli bombing

GAZA, Dec. 31 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip declared on Wednesday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli genocide has risen to 71,269 martyrs, with 171,232 others injured, since the start of the aggression on October 7, 2023.

In its daily statistical report, the ministry said Gaza hospitals received three bodies of martyrs and 10 injured persons over the past 48 hours.

The report noted that a number of victims remain trapped under rubble or on roads, as ambulance and civil defense crews are still unable to reach them.

It stated that since the ceasefire on October 415 martyrs have been killed and 1,152 others injured, in addition to the bodies of 682 have been recovered.
