Cold weather forecast to continue across different areas of Yemen

SANAA, Dec. 31 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based National Center for Meteorology on Wednesday expected continuing a cold wave accompanied by the formation of frost in various provinces and mountainous highlands throughout Yemen.

According to the weather forecast, the center affirmed extremely cold conditions to be expected in Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda and the heights of Ibb, Dhalea, with relatively cold on the heights of Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, and the deserts and plateaus of Mahra and Hadramout, with the possibility of fog formation on the southwestern highlands.

It warned citizens, especially the elderly, children, the patients and night workers, about the low temperatures, and urged farmers to take precautions to protect their crops from frost damage.
