Zionist settlers continue siege of 3 homes in Qusra for third week

WEST BANK, Aug. 25 (YPA) – The siege of three Palestinian homes in the town of Qusra, south of Nablus, by a group of settlers, enters its third consecutive week on Tuesday.

Qusra Mayor Abdul-Azim Wadi said that the occupation forces continue to impose the siege on the town, coinciding with tightening restrictions on the Jabal Ras al-Ain area and closing the roads leading to it, exacerbating the suffering of the citizens and restricting their movement.

In radio statements, Wadi warned of the occupation’s attempt to impose “a new model in the West Bank based on the gradual takeover of more homes and reducing the municipal council’s powers over the town’s lands.”

He pointed out that the occupation army provides protection for the settlers, while escalating pressure and harassment on the citizens to force them to leave their lands, stressing the continued closure of the roads to Jabal Ras al-Ain within a continuous context of harassment and restricting the residents’ access to their lands.
