WASHINGTON, Dec. 20 (YPA) – US State Secretary Marco Rubio said he expects announcements next week related to President Donald Trump’s executive order on the Muslim Brotherhood.
Speaking at a press conference, Rubio said that designating groups requires a series of internal procedures, fact-checking, and legal reviews, a process that takes time, adding that announcements were expected very soon.
Trump issued the order on November 24, setting in motion a process to blacklist branches of the Muslim Brotherhood in Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan and Yemen as terrorist organizations.
