Sanaa sends message to Egyptian government

SANAA, Dec. 20 (YPA) -Deputy Foreign Minister in the Sanaa government, Abdulwahid Abu Ras has expressed hope that the Egyptian government will reconsider and cancel the “shameful deal” signed with the Israeli occupation.

Abu Ras said the gas agreement between Egypt and the Israeli enemy had brought “joy to the heart of the criminal Netanyahu,” criticizing Cairo for proceeding with the deal amid the ongoing war on Gaza.

He added that the Egyptian government should have instead fulfilled its moral and humanitarian responsibility toward the Palestinian people in Gaza, who are “dying from extreme cold and heavy rainfall” due to the lack of minimum life-saving necessities, as a result of the blockade and continued Israeli aggression.

Abu Ras accused Egypt of providing the Israeli enemy with “tens of billions” through the gas deal, enabling it to continue crimes, destruction, and repression against the Palestinian people.

He stressed that while the agreement is publicly presented as a gas deal, it carries, in his words, “a legacy of shame that will pursue the Egyptian government generation after generation.”

In conclusion, Abu Ras reaffirmed Yemen’s principled and steadfast position in support of the Palestinian people and their just cause.
