Meteorologists warn of frost wave targeting mountain highlands

SANAA, Nov. 29 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology predicted on Saturday that the minimum temperatures would drop between 0 to 4 degrees Celsius parts of the provinces and mountain highlands.

In its weather bulletin, the Center explained that the weather would be cold to very cold during the night and early morning hours in Saada, Omran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Dhalea Heights, Lahj, Abyan, Ibb, west of Jawf and south of Marib, as well as Hadramout, Shabwa, Taiz, Rayma, Mahweet, Hajjah.

The meteorological center pointed out that the desert areas may be characterized by clear and cold weather during the night and early morning, with light to moderate winds.

It warned citizens in the mountainous highlands of the cold and very cold weather, especially the elderly, children, the patients and workers.
