Campaign launched against Republican senator for criticizing support for Israeli occupation

WASHINGTON, Nov. 09 (YPA) – US media reported that Israeli political donor Miriam Adelson will lead a $20 million campaign to defeat Republican Congressman Thomas Massie in next year’s Kentucky Republican primary because of his opposition to US aid to the Israeli occupation and his criticism of the Jewish American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

 

Massie is one of the few members of Congress who has spoken out about Israeli influence in US politics and is known for his criticism. Massie stated that despite the campaign, he managed to raise money for his campaign from 13,000 donors.

 

Adelson is one of the strongest advocates for the occupation, having donated $100 million to move the US embassy to occupied Jerusalem.

 

Earlier, Massie said that the Israeli lobby (AIPAC) has a very large influence on Congress. For example, if you look at the “Israel” lobby in Congress now and examine the publications of members of Congress, you will find that they are all identical. Everyone is repeating the same message: we must support Israel, and we must do so.
