SEOUL, Nov. 09 (YPA) – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is planning to acquire South Korea’s strategic long-range missile “Hyunmoo-III” to bolster its military arsenal with an asset that surpasses the tactical Korean missile category it currently possesses.
This move, which is expected to be conducted with extreme secrecy like most military deals between Seoul and Riyadh, comes after Saudi Arabia apparently failed to secure the U.S. “Tomahawk” missile or any Russian equivalent.
It is worth noting that the range of the “Hyunmoo-III” missile is estimated to be between 1,000 and 3,000 kilometers. The Kingdom had previously purchased other high-value Korean systems, such as the CTM-290 tactical ballistic missile and the M-SAM-II anti-ballistic missile defense system.
