About 20,500 Palestinians arrested in West Bank since October 2023

QUDS, Nov. 09 (YPA) –The Israeli occupation forces arrested 442 Palestinians in the West Bank during October, including 33 children and 3 women, human rights organizations reported on Sunday.

In a joint report, these organizations indicated that the total number of arrests in the West Bank since October 2023 has risen to almost 20,500 Palestinians, including 1,630 children and 595 women.

The report also noted that the number of prisoners and detainees in Israeli prisons exceeded 9,250 by the end of October, the majority of whom are held in administrative detention.

It emphasized that the policy of mass arrests constituted a systematic tool of repression.
