OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Nov. 05 (YPA) – Israel and India signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance security, industrial, and technological cooperation between the two countries.
In a statement, the Israeli Ministry of Defense said “The Israeli-Indian Joint Working Group held its annual strategic meeting in Tel Aviv, chaired by the Director General of the Ministry of Defense, Major General (Res.) Amir Baram, and the Director General of the Indian Ministry of Defense, Rajesh Kumar Singh.”
“During the meeting, the two directors general signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance security, industrial, and technological cooperation between the two countries,” the ministry added.
According to the Israeli economic newspaper Globes on Tuesday morning, the visit coincides with news of an anticipated deal between New Delhi and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) worth approximately $905.7 million.
During the visit, the Indian delegation met with Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, according to the same source.
Last September, India and Israel signed a series of economic agreements following a visit by the latter’s Finance Minister, Bezalel Smotrich, and senior ministry officials to India.
