Israeli occupation expands West Bank raids, damages Palestine landmarks

WEST BANK, Aug. 05 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation forces expanded their raids across several towns in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday , triggering confrontations, firing tear gas and stun grenades, and damaging Palestinian landmarks and memorials in Tulkarm and Kafr al-Labad.

According to local reports, the occupation forces raided the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, where clashes erupted after troops fired tear gas and stun grenades at residents. Soldiers also searched and vandalized a commercial kiosk.

In Tulkarm, the occupation destroyed several Palestinian memorials, including monuments dedicated to George Habash, Ziad Daas, and other Palestinians, while also tearing down photographs in the Shuweika suburb and damaging a memorial image in Kafr al-Labad.

The report said the occupation’s military operation in Tulkarm city and the Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps has continued for a 555th consecutive day, resulting in casualties, arrests, widespread destruction, and the displacement of thousands of residents.

The occupation forces also raided the village of Al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya, south of Nablus, where military vehicles were deployed and tear gas and stun grenades were fired toward residential areas.
