Bloomberg: Saudi Arabia pursues diplomacy to contain renewed tensions with Sanaa

SANAA, Aug. 04 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia is seeking to contain renewed tensions with Sanaa through diplomatic channels, Bloomberg reported, citing concerns over the potential consequences of a broader military confrontation.

According to the report, Riyadh has held talks with Sanaa through Omani mediation while continuing to keep military options under consideration.

The report, citing regional and Western officials, said U.S. officials have advised Saudi Arabia against engaging in a large-scale military campaign, amid concerns that an expanded conflict could further disrupt global energy markets.

It suggested Saudi Arabia is weighing the costs of escalation against efforts to manage the situation through diplomacy while avoiding broader risks to its security and economic interests.
