TAIZ, July 12 (YPA) – At least five children were killed as a result of an artillery attack by the Saudi-led coalition militants at citizens’ homes in Taiz province.
According to a security source, the Islah militants targeted citizens’ homes in in Al-Ta’iziyah District, resulting in the deaths of five children.
Medical sources confirmed that the bodies of the martyrs arrived at Al-Rifai Hospital at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The victims were identified as:
Mubarak Yasser Ali Ahmad Ghaleb Al-Sharabi, 14.
Osama Abubakr Ahmad Ali, 12.
Basheer Akram Ahmad Ghaleb, 12.
Ahmed Ali Maqbil Abdullah Al-Utami, 12.
Anas Jawad Mohammed Saleh, 14.
This attack has drawn widespread condemnation from the people of Taiz and across Yemen, as it is not the first of its kind. The shelling is part of an ongoing pattern in which coalition forces periodically target civilians in the province.
These repeated assaults on populated neighborhoods show a blatant disregard for civilian lives, particularly women and children.
The occupied areas in Taiz governorate continue to experience persistent security instability and ongoing infighting among Islah Party militants, with civilians paying the ultimate price.
