SANAA, April 17 (YPA) – Saudi intelligence transferred on Thursday the kidnapped military leader, Mohammed Omar Al-Yamini, Chief of Staff of the Second Military Region, from a prison in the city of Mukalla in Hadramout to the capital, Riyadh.
Sources indicated that the transfer took place under heavy guard aboard a Saudi military aircraft, accompanied by the so-called “Military Committee,” which has been investigating him since his abduction by the UAE-backed factions from his residence on March 27.
This comes at a time when the leaders of the Saudi-led coalition brigades in the Second Military Region in Mukalla have demanded Al-Yamini’s immediate release and the restoration of his reputation in a manner befitting his military and tribal standing.
They considered the kidnapping to have ignored his influence and not been based on official evidence as part of what they described as an ongoing smear campaign against him, without clarifying the reasons behind his abduction and transfer to Riyadh.
