HADRAMOUT, March 09 (YPA) – The oil-rich Hadramout governorate, which is under the control of the coalition, is witnessing a severe crisis in oil derivatives for the second week in a row, amid the absence of the government and the authorities affiliated with the coalition.
Local sources explained that the crisis in Hadramout Valley and desert directorates regarding gasoline since the beginning of the current month of Ramadan is fabricated and increases the suffering of citizens during the holy month.
The sources stated that the sale of gasoline has spread on the black market in various parts of Hadramout Valley at exorbitant prices, amid popular demands for urgent solutions.
The price of a 20-litre gallon of petrol on the black market exceeded 40,000 riyals, while a gallon is sold in the city of Marib, which is under the control of Islah, for 9,000 riyals, the sources explained.
Citizens’ cars in the Hadramout Valley directorates stand in long queues to obtain gasoline from the official fuel stations that open intermittently, the sources added.
