Hamas rejects Trump’s plan to occupy Gaza, displace its people

GAZA, Feb. 06 (YPA) – Hamas Movement strongly condemned on Wednesday the statements of US President Trump aimed at occupying the Gaza Strip and displacing the Palestinian people by the United States.

Hamas said in a statement that these statements were hostile to the Palestinian people and its cause, and will not serve stability in the region.

The statement stressed that the Palestinian people and its living forces would not allow any country in the world to occupy its land or impose guardianship over our great Palestinian people who have offered rivers of blood to liberate its land from occupation and to establish the Palestinian state with al-Quds as its capital.

It called on the US administration and President Trump to retract these irresponsible statements that contradict international laws and the natural rights of Palestinian people in its land.

The movement’s statement also called on the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the United Nations to an urgent meeting to follow up on these dangerous statements, and to take a firm and historic position that preserves the national rights of Palestinian people, and its right to self-determination.
