TRIPOLI, Jan. 11 (YPA) – Several Libyan cities, including Tajoura, Bani Walid, and Al-Zawiya, witnessed on Saturday a wave of angry demonstrations in rejection of normalization with “Israel,” amid mounting calls to drop any attempts at rapprochement with Tel Aviv.
The protests extended to the capital, Tripoli, where protesters closed the Bivi Road linking Tripoli and its east, burning tires and placing barriers, causing complete traffic paralysis.
The demonstrators in the three cities raised anti-government slogans, demanding that those responsible be held accountable for any steps or statements that support normalization while stressing the need to preserve national sovereignty.
