Armed men storm Aden police station

ADEN, Jan. 11 (YPA) – A number of armed elements stormed on Saturday the Al-Qalua Police Station in the city of Aden, which is under the control of the coalition in southern Yemen.

Local sources said that three military vehicle belonging to the so-called “counter-terrorism” funded by the UAE surrounded the Police department and detonated an offensive bomb.

The sources explained that the armed raid was directed by the leader “Shalal Shaya” with the goal of releasing two of his members who were detained inside the center.

Other sources reported that the attack aimed to kidnap Jalal Al-Subaihi, a department director, due to previous disagreements with the leader “Shalal Shaya,” amid armed tensions in the region.

The attack caused panic among the residents, reflecting the security chaos that Aden has been witnessed since the beginning of 2016.
