OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Aug. 26 (YPA) -The Hebrew-language newspaper The Jerusalem Post reported on Monday that the Yemeni use of cluster ballistic missiles against “Israel” marks a significant and deeply concerning development.
The report noted that deploying cluster munitions via ballistic missiles significantly expands the threat radius, complicates interception efforts, and makes post-impact response far more challenging.
It added that such munitions undermine the effectiveness of conventional missile defense systems like Arrow (Hetz) and David’s Sling, which are not optimized to intercept multiple submunitions dispersed mid-flight.
The paper also revealed that Israeli air defenses failed to intercept the missile, raising serious concerns about the capabilities and limitations of Israel’s multi-layered air defense network.
