Al-Qassam Brigades target Israeli tank in southern Gaza

GAZA, Aug. 26 (YPA) – The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, announced on Monday evening that its fighters had targeted an Israeli Merkava tank with a “Yassin-105” anti-tank missile near Al-Farouq Mosque in the southern part of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, south of Gaza City.

“Our fighters target a Zionist “Merkava” tank with an “Al-Yassin 105″ shell in the vicinity of Al-Farouq Mosque, south of Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, south of Gaza City,” the group said in a statement.

This development comes amid intensifying ground battles in Gaza City, particularly in the neighborhoods of Al-Zaytoun and Al-Shuja’iya in the south and east, where heavy fighting is taking place between Palestinian resistance fighters and Israeli occupation forces.
