WHO warns against severe shortage of basic medical supplies in Gaza

GAZA, Jan. 11 (YPA) – The United Nations World Health Organization (WHO) has warned that Al-Awda Hospital, the last partially functioning hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, is suffering from a severe shortage of fuel and basic medical supplies.

The WHO said in its report on Saturday that it would work to reach the hospital to resupply it and assess the situation in Kamal Adwan Hospital, which became completely out of service after it was destroyed by the Israeli occupation forces while dozens of patients were inside.

The report urgently called for immediate action to make roads passable and facilitate access to the hospital to keep it running as the occupation had blocked roads leading to these
facilities.
