President discusses ways to face economic challenges

SANAA, July 21 (YPA) – President Mahdi al-Mashat on Saturday discussed with Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Dr. Hussein Maqboli, ways to face the economic challenges imposed by the continued aggression and siege.

In the meeting, the president stressed the importance of redoubling efforts to enhance the performance level to overcome the current challenges experienced by the homeland.

The meeting dealt with efforts exerted by the Ministry of Finance to improve the financial performance, develop the revenues, and raise the efficiency of collection to meet the operational expenses of the state institutions.

It also touched on measures taken by the Ministry and the Supreme Economic Committee in the financial reforms field and the study of opportunities for investment in small enterprises.

In the meeting, Maqboli briefed the president on the results of workshop organized by the Ministry in cooperation with economic researchers and businessmen to support self-sufficiency projects in grain.
