SANAA, July 13 (YPA) – Yahya Al-Ra’i, Speaker of the House of Representatives in the capital, Sana’a, chaired a joint meeting of the House Presidency, the Manpower Committee, and the House General Secretariat.
During the meeting, Al-Ra’i praised the successes achieved by the Sana’a forces in developing and modernizing their military capabilities to keep pace with current challenges and thwart the goals of the Zionist aggression.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives reiterated Yemen’s steadfast position in support of the Palestinian people until the aggression stops and the siege on the Gaza Strip is lifted, within the framework of Yemen’s declared commitment to the security and safety of maritime navigation, with the exception of the Zionist entity.
The Parliament’s body expressed its dissatisfaction with the contradictions contained in the statements of the UN Secretary-General and his envoy to Yemen, and their disregard for the catastrophic situation in Gaza and their focus on Yemen’s supportive role in the Strip.
It also condemned the massacres committed against the Palestinians by the occupation.
The body indicated that Yemen’s support for Gaza and Palestine imposed the equation of Gaza’s security with the security and stability of Yemen and the region, noting that this changed the rules of engagement in deterring and exhausting the Israeli enemy and its supporters.
