Kidnapped person killed after being tortured in Marib prisons

MARIB, Nov. 19 (YPA) – One of the kidnapped people from the Murad tribe of Marib province was killed and another went insane after being tortured brutally inside the Saudi-led coalition intelligence-run prison in the city of Marib.

Human rights sources familiar with the matter said that the kidnapped, Naif Mohammed Al-Hussaini Al-Muradi, was killed under brutal physical and psychological torture since his kidnapping at the beginning of 2020, along with another person named, Saber Abbad Al-Hussaini Al-Muradi, inside the so-called “Political Security” prison that the Islah Party’s running in the city.

The sources stated that the Murad tribe’s sheikhs, including Sheikh Al-Aji Ahmed Al-Talibi, didn’t manage to release their sons who were kidnapped in Marib prisons, despite the directives of the member of the Saudi-run Presidential Leadership Council and Islah-affiliated governor of Marib, Sultan Al-Arada, during 2022.

They explained that the families of the kidnapped people had received information from one of the recently released prisoners that “Naif Al-Husseini” died under brutal torture months ago, and his body was placed in a hospital refrigerator.

The sources added that the other kidnapped person,”Saber Al-Hussaini”, suffered from mental and psychological disorders as a result of being subjected to various types of torture and ill-treatment, indicating that he is still detained without being subjected to treatment, which sparked widespread anger among the sheikhs and sons of the Murad tribes.
