In preparation for US-Israeli escalation against Sanaa, Saudi-led coalition sends large military reinforcements to Jawf
SANAA, July 01 (YPA) – Informed field sources in Jawf province, northern Yemen, revealed on Monday that Saudi-led coalition forces are rapidly mobilizing, aiming to destabilize the situation on the ground in the desert areas separating the province from the southern border of the Kingdom.
According to the sources who spoke to the “Yemeni Press Agency,” the coalition forces are preparing for a major military attack targeting Sanaa forces’ positions in the Al-Ajasher and Al-Yatmah desert areas, including the “Taybat Al-Esm” camp.
This comes as part of a new attempt to distance Sanaa from supporting the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip, after American and Israeli pressure failed to achieve this goal.
The sources indicated that large military reinforcements have arrived at the Al-Khadhra crossing in Najran in recent days. These reinforcements include armored vehicles, rocket launchers, and heavy equipment coming from inside Saudi territory, with the aim of transporting them to the areas of engagement in Jawf.
According to the sources, forces loyal to the coalition have begun constructing barricades and trenches in advanced positions in preparation for these reinforcements, amid reports indicating that they are under the direct supervision of the commander of the Najran forces, Major General Dhawi bin Jaber Al-Ghazwani.
Al-Ghazwani also ordered the immediate deployment of reinforcements to the positions of the 14th Border Guard Brigade and the Al-Dhafer Brigade, which include elements classified as extremists affiliated with Al-Qaeda. This raises concerns about extremist groups exploiting the border battles with Yemen.
Concurrently with these moves, the coalition is conducting other military operations on Yemen’s western coast, where the UAE has sent reinforcements to support Brigadier General Tariq Saleh’s forces in the city of Mocha. This move aims to control strategic locations along Yemen’s west coast and reduce Sanaa’s attacks on American and Israeli ships in the Red Sea.
These developments come amid growing regional escalation in the Yemeni conflict file, coinciding with the active role of Sanaa’s forces in confronting the Israeli occupation and their continued support for the Palestinian resistance.
