SANAA, Oct. 24 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jamal Amer called on the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies’ delegation in Yemen to focus on long-term humanitarian and development projects in cooperation with the Yemeni Red Crescent Society.
This came during his meeting on Wednesday with the head of IFRC’s mission in Yemen, Dr. Tamer Ramadan, to discuss the mission’s continued presence in Sanaa and work to increase humanitarian projects, especially in the field of environmental sanitation and water.
During the meeting, the minister praised the humanitarian role played by the IFRC, especially in the field of providing urgent humanitarian and relief aid in the areas most in need.
In turn, the IFRC’s official expressed his gratitude for the cooperation and support provided from the Sanaa government and the Yemeni Red Crescent Society.
