Clear to partly cloudy weather expected in Yemen scattered areas

SANAA, Sept. 12 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology expected on Thursday clear to partly cloudy weather, with light rains falling over scattered areas of the Yemeni provinces.

In its weather bulletin, the center affirmed that the scattered rain may praveil over the provicnes of Mahweet, Hajjah, Amran, Dhamar, Sanaa and Saada, Shabwa, Hadramout and Mahra, Taiz, Ibb, Dhalea, Rayma, and Lahj.

It indicated that the weather in the coastal areas would be clear to partly cloudy, with the possibility of light to moderate rain in general, with fast winds sweeping parts of the Socotra Archipelago and reaching speeds of more than 33 knots.

The center noted that the desert areas being characterized by clear to partly cloudy weather, with moderate winds reaching speeds of 16 knots.

It renewed its warnings to citizens in areas where rain being expected to fall and not to be in valleys and flood paths.

The center called on motorists to drive carefully on roads and mountainous slopes of the decrease in horizontal visibility due to rainfall and fog formation.
