67 water projects worth $4.8 million inaugurated in Dhamar province

DHAMAR, June 28 (YPA) – The Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water, Dr. Ali Saif; the Governor of Dhamar province, Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti; and the Deputy Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water, Adel Bader, inaugurated on Saturday 67 water projects in Dhamar province.

These projects, which have a total cost of $4,806,000 million and are funded by several organizations, will benefit a wide segment of people, reaching 463,862 people distributed across the province’s districts.

The projects include 15 projects implemented by the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation in the cities of Dhamar and Ma’bar, at a total cost of $1,923,000 million, funded by UNICEF and the Red Crescent, in addition to self-financing and participation from community initiatives.

These projects also include 52 water and sanitation projects implemented by the General Authority for Rural Water Projects, at a total cost of $2,884,000 million, funded by donor agencies.
