Official assaulted by STC in Aden

ADEN, Aug. 27 (YPA) – An official was attacked on Monday by an official of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in the city of Aden, south of Yemen.

Director General of the Water Corporation in the city, Mohammed Mohammed Bakhbira, confirmed in a report he submitted to the coalition-appointed Aden governor, and one of the STC’s leaders, Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, that he was assaulted by the deputy governor, Salah Al-Aqel, after he stormed the headquarters of the corporation.

Bakhbira indicated that there was a premeditated intention to create chaos and incite the street against the institution, calling on Lamlas to intervene urgently and put an end to these irresponsible actions.
