Israeli occupation detain 552 bodies in Gaza

GAZA, Aug. 27 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation authorities have continued to detain 552 bodies, including 256 in Al-Arqam cemeteries, in addition to hundreds of martyrs from the Gaza Strip.

This came in a joint statement issued on Tuesday by the Palestinian Prisoners Club, the Commission of Prisoners and Freed Prisoners Affairs, the Damir Foundation for Human Rights, and the National Campaign to Recover the Bodies of Martyrs.

The statement explained that the number of martyrs whose bodies are being held in Al-Arqam cemeteries and refrigerators has reached 552 martyrs.

It said that the bodies of 296 martyrs have been detained since the return of the detention policy in 2015, with the outbreak of Al Quds on Oct 15.
