ADEN, July 14 (YPA) – Aden province and other areas under the control of the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition are experiencing a severe and unprecedented wave of price hikes affecting basic commodities, exacerbating the living conditions of residents in these areas.
According to media reports, citizens stated that the price of a 50 kg bag of flour has risen to 65,000 riyals, while the price of a 50 kg bag of sugar has exceeded 105,000 riyals. The price of a 40 kg bag of rice has reached approximately 95,000 riyals, while a 20-liter can of oil has reached 80,000 riyals.
Citizens noted that their monthly incomes are no longer sufficient to cover this significant price increase, prompting many to drastically reduce their consumption and forgo many essential items, limiting themselves to only those items that meet their basic needs.
