Scattered rains falling over part of Yemeni areas expected

SANAA, July 31 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology warned on Wednesday citizens of scattered rains falling over part of the Yemeni provinces.

In its weather bulletin, the center called to take the necessary precautions against thunderstorms and hail, as well as against decreased horizontal visibility, rock and mudslides.

It also warns seafarers, fishermen and ship captains of high sea waves around the Socotra Archipelago, the eastern Gulf of Aden and the southern and eastern coasts.

The center expected partly cloudy to cloudy weather in the highlands and varying intensity of rain that may be prevailed over the provinces of Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Mahweet, Sanaa, Dhamar, Rayma, Ibb, Dhalea, Taiz, and Lahj.

The center indicated to the possibility of scattered rain, which may be accompanied by thunderstorms, in parts of the west of Jawf and Marib, and the highlands of Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout and Mahra.
