Sanaa declares 3 days of mourning, lowers flags for Haniyeh’s martyrdom

SANAA, July 31 (YPA) – The President of the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, Mahdi Al-Mashat, announced on Wednesday three days of mourning and the lowering of flags for the martyrdom of the head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas,” Ismail Haniyeh.

In an obituary statement, Al-Mashat expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the Palestinian people and the Hamas movement over the painful loss of the martyrdom of Commander Ismail Haniyeh, who was martyred with one of his brothers following a Zionist raid that targeted his residence in Tehran.

He pointed out that the martyr Ismail Haniyeh was an example of the loyal Muslim Mujahid leader who spent his life fighting the criminal Israeli enemy, affirming that his martyrdom is a great loss for the Palestinian people and for the entire Islamic nation.

President Al-Mashat condemned the sinful assassination committed by the Zionist enemy, stressing that “Yemen stands and will stand with full force alongside the mujahideen in the Hamas movement and the entire resistance axis.”

He held the Zionist and American enemies responsible for expanding the arena of war and confrontation due to the wave of assassinations they are carrying out against the leaders of the resistance.
