US congressman calls for Netanyahu’s arrest as war criminal

WORLD, July 24 (YPA)-Democratic US Congressman Jamaal Bowman called for the arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instead of honoring him in Congress, expressing his disgust at the warm reception given to him.

In an article for the British newspaper “The Guardian,” Bowman wrote: “The United States and our federal government love to portray ourselves as leaders in peace, diplomacy and human rights. In the eyes of the world, we want to be seen as collaborators and coalition-builders, working together to solve problems around the world”.

He added, “The reality in the halls of power is very different.”

Earlier, Democratic Representative Rashida Tlaib had also called for the arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a war criminal.

“He should be arrested and sent to the International Criminal Court,” she said in a statement.
