GAZA, Aug. 12 (YPA) – Hamas movement accused on Tuesday the Israeli occupation of committing systematic crimes against the residents of the Gaza Strip.
In a statement, the movement stressed that the indiscriminate bombing and targeting of civilians reflected the occupation government’s insistence on defying the international community and pursuing a policy of genocide and deliberate starvation.
The statement added that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been insisting on continuing the “purposeless” war for his own personal gain, disregarding the lives or fate of Israeli prisoners, even as the aggression against the Gaza Strip continues for months.
It praised the waves of global popular solidarity with Gaza, calling for these movements to continue and escalate until the aggression be halted, the siege lifted, and the policies of genocide and starvation ended.
The movement’s statement also urged Arab and Islamic countries to exert political pressure on the US administration to halt the aggression and thwart what it described as “plans to displace the Palestinian people”.
