Lebanese fishermen injured in Israeli airstrike on Naqoura port

BEIRUT, Aug. 12 (YPA) – An Israeli drone launched on Tuesday an airstrike on the port of Naqoura, located on the Lebanese border with occupied Palestine.

Local sources said that a number of fishermen were injured as a result of the shelling that targeted a site housing a number of fishermen at the port.

Immediately after the raid, teams from the Red Cross and the health authority headed to the site to provide medical aid and transport the injured to nearby hospitals.

This attack came amid ongoing tensions on the Lebanese-Israeli border, where the region is witnessing increased military activity and sporadic incidents that threaten the stability of the security situation.
