Germany arrests relief activist over delivery of donations to Gaza

BERLIN, July 06 (YPA) – The German authorities arrested the head of the International Relief Foundation in Germany, Mamdouh Badawi, upon his arrival at Munich airport from the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on the grounds of “delivering aid and donations to the Gaza Strip.”

“Quds Press” learned that “the interrogation with Badawi continued for long hours at the airport, and all of his personal belongings, including documents and mobile phones, were confiscated.”

Media sources added, “The Relief Foundation owns a large warehouse in Cairo, through which Badawi prepares relief campaigns and medicines and sends them to the Gaza Strip.”

It is noteworthy that the International Relief Organization is a licensed non-profit organization in Germany that works in more than one country in the world. Badawi has previously worked in Africa, Syria, and Turkey without any significant problems, but when he started sending aid to Gaza, he was subjected to restrictions.
