Police officer assassinated by gunmen in Aden

ADEN, July 12 (YPA) – A police officer was assassinated on Thursday by unknown gunmen in Yemen’s southern province of Aden,  local sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The assassination operation took place in the area of Bir Fadl in the district of Mansoura, the sources said.

The gunmen shot dead the director of Bir Fadl police station, Colonel Fahmi al-Subaihi and his bodyguard when the officer tied to resolve a dispute over a land in the district, the sources added.

Aden city and other southern provinces, under the control of the UAE occupation forces, have been witnessing a case of chaos insecurity amid the spread of armed groups of al-Qaeda and Daesh and increasing violations against civil and military figures.
