China reaffirms support for all efforts to restore peace in Middle East

WORLD, Jan. 21 (YPA) – Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi affirmed that China supports all efforts aimed at de-escalating conflicts and achieving peace in the Middle East.

During a media briefing on his recent visit to four African countries, including Tunisia and Egypt, Wang stated, “China condemns all actions that harm civilians and opposes any violation of international law.”

Regarding the conflict in Gaza, Wang clarified that “the Palestinian issue has always been at the heart of the Middle East issues.”

China strongly supports the just cause of the Palestinian people, which involves reclaiming their legitimate national rights and realizing their long-awaited aspiration for an independent state, he added.
