OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Jan. 21 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army announced on Sunday an increase in the death toll of its troops to 531 while the wounded to 2,665 since October 7th of last year.
The occupation army said that Sgt. First Class (res.) Uriel Aviad Silberman, 23, of the Kiryati Brigade’s 7421st Battalion, from Nehalim, was killed during fighting in the southern Gaza Strip over the weekend.
According to a website affiliated with the Israeli Ministry of Defense, the total injuries since the beginning of the conflict, reached 1,568, including 692 with moderate injuries and 405 with serious injuries. Since the start of the ground operation in Gaza on October 27th last year, the number of soldiers injured reached 1,207, including 544 with minor injuries, 411 with moderate injuries, and 252 with severe injuries.
It’s worth noting that Israeli and foreign sources indicate that the actual number of Israeli military casualties may be higher than the officially announced figures.
Earlier, the army had reported the death of a sergeant from its ranks in the Gaza Strip, bringing the total death toll to 530 since October 7th.
