ALQUDS, July 01 (YPA) – A state of confusion and panic was prevailed among Israeli settlers in the occupied territories of Palestine on Tuesday, following Hebrew media reports that a missile was launched from Yemen.
The Home Front Command said in an official statement that missile alerts could be activated within the next few minutes in several central areas, including Shefelat Yehuda, the coastal areas, Yarkon, Yarkon, Al Quds, Lachish, Dead Sea, Shomron, Dan and Negev regions.
Official authorities have not yet announced the precise nature of the threat, or whether the missile was intercepted or fell inside the occupied territories. However, widespread warnings indicated growing security concerns about the ability of Yemeni missiles to reach deep within “Israel”.
This development comes amid escalating regional tensions against the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and Sanaa’s participation in military operations as part of the so-called Axis of Resistance.
