PALESTINE, Oct. 22 (YPA) – At least 1,070 Palestinian citizens have been arrested by the Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank since the beginning of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood or (Deluge) on 7 October 2023.
Palestine’s Prisoners’ Club stated on Sunday in a statement published on Facebook that the arrest campaigns in the West Bank were concentrated in the provinces of Hebron, al-Quds, and Ramallah, in addition to detained workers from Gaza, whose exact numbers and identities have not known yet.
The statement pointed out that the Israeli occupation forces had arrested 110 Palestinians during the last two days in the West Bank, and that this broad campaign targeted citizens, leaders of the Hamas movement, and former prisoners who spent years in the occupation jails.
It stated that the campaign of systematic arrests of Palestinians in the West Bank by the occupation authorities comes in conjunction with continuing continuous bombing by the occupation on the Gaza Strip, causing thousands of martyrs and wounded.
Since the beginning of this year, there have been more than 6,500 arrests, in addition to detained workers in Gaza and West Bank.
