Death toll of ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanon rises to 4,348 martyrs

BEIRUT, Aug. 19 (YPA) – The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced, on Wednesday, that the cumulative death toll from the Israeli aggression against Lebanon has risen to 16,655 people, including 4,348 martyrs and 12,307 wounded since March 2.

According to a report published by the National News Agency, the past three days witnessed death of two martyrs and six others were wounded.

The report indicated that 545 healthcare workers have been killed or wounded, including 135 martyrs and 410 wounded, as a result of 179 Israeli attacks on ambulances and medical teams.

Since the escalation began on March 2, the occupation army has targeted Lebanese towns, villages, cities, and civilian infrastructure, causing hundreds of martyrs, thousands of wounded, and the displacement of approximately 1.5 million Lebanese, the majority of whom are not registered in shelters.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on June 18 the signing of an electronic memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran for a ceasefire on all fronts, including Lebanon. However, Israel continues to commit daily violations of the agreement.
